‘Running for Russ’Fundraisers run Middlesbrough 10k & Great North Run

Supporters of the Headlight foundation, including friends and family close to Russ, pounded the streets this month to raise money for the Headlight Project.

Russ’ Wife, Catherine, along with ‘Team Dev’ which was made up various family and friends close to Russ, ran the Middlesbrough 10k and Great North Run in memory Russ Devereux and the Headlight Project. All runners did amazingly well in the races, and the sweat and sore muscles has raised a generous amount for the project to date, but you can still donate online.

Our running journey starts with the 10k and Great North Run and is completed next year when Catherine will be running the London marathon. All donations will go towards funding the Russ Devereux Headlight Project which provides counselling  and play therapy to children and young adults with the aim of building emotional resilience. It is also an aim of the project to work with adults and provide training on mental health and well being in the workplace and suicide prevention.

Any donations will fund a much needed service. Russ was a patron of MTPF and the philanthropic foundation have supported the project  to enable me to get it up and running  and we will continue to work together for the benefit of people in our local communities.
