Join us in person for Suicide Prevention Training tailored for KS3 & KS4 staff in the Tees Valley!
In July 2025, the UK Government announced that suicide prevention and grief education will become a compulsory part of the school curriculum in England from September 2026.
Join the Headlight Project for an in-person training session, located at AV Dawson just off the A66, designed specifically for staff working with KS3 and KS4 students. Hot drinks and pastries will be provided at 9 am and there will be a chance to share with other education providers before the formal session begins at 9.30 am . This session will equip you with the knowledge and practical skills needed to hold confident conversations about suicide and suicidal thoughts, recognise potential warning signs, and support young people effectively through appropriate guidance and signposting.
This training provides a valuable opportunity to prepare for the upcoming curriculum changes while strengthening your ability to support students’ wellbeing. Time will be allocated to discuss and share best practice.
Don’t miss this chance to build confidence, develop essential skills, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of your students ahead of the new academic year.
